Dolphins

Dolphins are some of the most intelligent animals in the sea, their ability to learn and recognise situations gives them magnificent skills like communication in the form of clicking or whistling.

The seven bottlenose dolphins in our care each have different characters, likes and dislikes. Here are our dolphins:

Cha

10 Years Old

Likes/Dislikes

Cha is always very active and most enjoys cuddles from our carers and visitors.

Ninu

10 Years Old

Likes/Dislikes

Ninu’s favourite hobby is playing with Cha, his favourite toy is his hula hoop.

Onda

23 Years Old

Likes/Dislikes

Onda is a very shy dolphin, her best playtime toys are all ‘pulling’ toys but she doesn’t like ball games.

Mar

21 Years Old

Likes/Dislikes

Mar’s at her happiest when she’s jumping in and out of the water. She doesn’t like it when other dolphins bother her too much.

Sol

22 Years Old

Likes/Dislikes

Sol is the dolphin boss – he loves being in control. He’s also not very happy when the younger dolphins misbehave.

Melita

6 Years Old

Likes/Dislikes

Melita is the most active dolphin in the Park. She hates staying still and is a happy-go-lucky pup.

Rohan

2 Years Old

Rohan lives for play time. He’s a naughty little dolphin who picks on his mum and loves to pull at his sister’s fluke.

Luqa

1 Year Old

Dolphin Presentation

Captivate your emotions with our ambassadors of the sea. Watch Onda, Ninu and Cha show off their magical skill as they perform all their tricks. Watch them in action and appreciate their intelligence, friendliness and beauty as they jump around for the crowd.

Our younger dolphins are also learning how to show off their talent in the Presentations. Come and watch Melita jump around and enjoy her afternoon.

Dolphin Interaction

Give yourself the opportunity to learn more about dolphins and their nature. Our Dolphin Interaction Programme is a dry encounter where you will meet with our dolphins while on land. You can enjoy this session after you’ve discovered more about the Park and enjoyed the Presentations; General Entrance Fee is included in the price.

You will be able to touch the dolphins and learn some hand signals to communicate with them. During your 15 minutes of interaction, you will be guided by a professional animal carer who will explain all there is to know for your interaction with the small group of dolphins.
